In preparation for the publication of Dispensing Justice in December, I will be posting the a free preview chapter every Monday for the coming month. The first installment is:
Chapter 1 — Doctor M’s Robotic Hordes Attack, or Mom Interrupts the News
The next installment, Chapter 2 – Friday Night in the Lab (Watching the Superhero News Network), will be posted next Monday (November 7th, 2011).

Why it’s noteworthy
A well mannered rant that takes a number of traditional publisher editors to task by treating Ms. Rusch like she was some sort of publishing newbie and rube. They obviously should have known better. Make sure to check out the bottom of the post for a good comparison between traditional and self-publishing.
Once again Ms. Rusch highlights a reason to self-publish. When an author with her obvious experience and competence is treated shabbily by traditional publishing editors, it does bode well for the debut authors, regardless of their apparent competence.
I’ve created a Dispensing Justice page on Facebook. Check it out, and if you find yourself so inclined, ‘Like’ it.
I’m a fan of the cartoonist Oglaf, frequently very NSFW, always funny and well drawn cartoons. The Blank Page, mildly NSFW in a cartoon-one-breast-showing-toga-wearing-muse way, which is in the same vein as the muse-with-gun going around Facebook and elsewhere. The follow up Oglaf is the Muse, also mildly NSFW for the same reasons.
