Bookmarks Menu
BookmarksMenu is an extension to add a menu like a favorits menu on the OpenOffice.org menubar.
This extension is based on the idea of Malte Timmermann's Favorites Menu.
Favorites Menu is temporaly created menus but a menu created by BookmarksMenu extension is parmanent. But easy to remove it.
After installation of the extension, execute the macro from the Tools - Add-Ons - BookmarksMenu... entry that shows Bookmarks Menu dialog. And push the help button of the dialog to show the help file.
Compose Special Characters
Compose Special Characters lets you type two or three characters and use a keyboard shortcut to convert them into a single accented or special character.
You can also compose unicode characters using the 4 character unicode value.
Writer and Calc are currently supported.

CompPad - Engineering Calculations in Writer
CompPad is an OpenOffice extension to provide live mathematical and engineering calculations within a Writer document, allowing calculations to be documented using all of the resources of OpenOffice. It will have functionality similar to Mathcad, but is not intended to be a Mathcad clone. Rather, I hope it might prove more flexible and extensible, and that it might encourage other free / open-source alternatives to a proprietary engineering "Killer App."
CompPad allows you to create technical calculations in the form of conventional-looking mathematical expressions using the OpenOffice.org equation editor. This editor has a simple text syntax that some consider to be faster and more intuitive than other equation editors. Then, with the click of a toolbar icon, CompPad will evaluate the expressions and display the results, embedded in your document. All of the features of OpenOffice.org are available for documenting and formatting your document so that it can be presented with pride to co-workers, customers, professors, etc.

DeltaXML ODT Compare
DeltaXML ODT Compare is a comparison tool for documents in OpenDocument Format. It performs a detailed text comparison and generates a new document with the changes marked. It is provided as a free Extension.
DeltaXML ODT Compare works on the underlying XML representation of the document. It has been developed in response to users who need an accurate and detailed view of changes to text, frames and the content of tables. A server version with Java API is available for integration into server-side enterprise systems.
DeltaXML ODT Compare:
1. Shows changes in headers and footers
2. Shows changes to list numbering
3. Shows changes in 'frames' which are areas of text positioned on a page
4. For tables, shows the changes within the cells of a table (unless the changes include changes to column or row numbers)
5. Marks added or deleted graphics
6. Large documents can be compared (provided sufficient memory is available)

History Master
This extension for OpenOffice.org improves the lists of recent documents. Needs OpenOffice.org 3.1.0 or more recent.

This tool enables to store the URLs of all open OOo-Documents into an Ini-File and reload them all in the next session only with one mouseclick.
LanguageTool
LanguageTool is an Open Source language checker for English, German, Polish, Dutch, and other languages. It is rule-based, which means it will find errors for which a rule is defined in its XML configuration files. Rules for more complicated errors can be written in Java. You can think of LanguageTool as a tool to detect errors that a simple spell checker cannot detect, e.g. mixing up there/their, no/now etc. It can also detect some grammar mistakes. It does not include spell checking.

Linguist
Linguist was originally written to provide an easy way for users to create a list of new candidate words to the existing spellcheck dictionary for their language. Just run the command "List Non-recognized Words" and you will get a list of all the words from your document that are not recognized during spellchecking.
The extension has been enhanced with commands for making complete lists of all words in a text document - either as an alphabetical list or sorted after word frequency - and with a readability calculating function that expresses readability in a unit called Lix.
This extension is written in Python.

OOTranslator
OOTranslator is an OpenOffice.org wrapper for Google Translate. In simpler terms, it's a utility which allows users of OpenOffice.org office suite to translate text from a document opened to any language. It does this using Google Translate library at the back end.
This is particularly useful when you want to quickly translate your document or part of it from one language to another without having to copy paste it in online interface. OOTranslator provides a nice and simple interface which allows you to customize its behaviour using various options.
TestFonts
Searches for all font faces used in writer document and compare it with fonts available in system. Reporting for missing font faces, all used fonts and get statistic available system fonts. You can look for font name from report. Dialog is modal with zoom button now.

Writer's Tools is a set of utilities designed to help OpenOffice.org users perform a wide range of tasks. Using Writer's Tools, you can back up documents, look up and translate words and phrases, manage text snippets, and keep tabs on document statistics.

The Sun Weblog Publisher allows you to quickly create, edit and publish weblog entries on many popular Blog servers. It is easy to use so that any user can start blogging right away! Use the advanced word processing features of the Writer to create blogs with tables, bullets, hyperlinks, graphics, and spellchecking via the office suite's spellchecking technology

Requires StarOffice 8 (Update 4 or higher) or OpenOffice.org (2.0.4 or higher).
Sun Wiki Publisher
The Sun Wiki Publisher enables you to create Wiki articles on MediaWiki servers without having to know the syntax of the MediaWiki markup language. Publish your new and existing documents transparently with the Writer to a wiki page.
All important text attributes such as headings, hyperlinks, lists and simple tables are supported. Even images are supported as long as they have already been uploaded to the wiki site. An automatic upload of images is currently not supported.
It is the perfect extension for all users who want to make existing documentations and specifications available on MediaWiki servers. Just load the document and call the Extension with 'Send – MediaWiki Server'. A dialog will guide you to publish your document.

Dictionaries

English Names Dictionary en_US
An English Personal and Surname spelling checker dictionary add-on for the US English dictionary. It has about 10,000 names derived largely from US census data, with additions from various public domain lists of names.
Latin dictionaries (spelling, hyphenation)
Latin spelling and hyphenation dictionaries. The spelling dictionary is based on Jean-Pierre Sutto's last version of "mlatinoo" (v 34, 2006-02-02), now continued and maintained by Karl Zeiler.

Templates

Template Changer
This extension will add two new items to the File - Templates menu that allows to assign a new template to documents. All styles and formatting will be loaded from that template and the documents will behave as it was created using that template.
New menu items are:
* File - Templates - Assign template (current document)...
* File - Templates - Assign template (folder)...

OpenOffice Macros

This macro has a GUI that makes it simple to import words from a text file into an OOo dictionary, or to export an OOo dictionary to a text file for easier editing.
Duplicate Shape at http://www.ooomacros.org/
This installs four new drawing commands into the office. The four commands duplicate the currently selected drawing shape, and then slide the new shape up, down, right or left such that it just touches the original shape.
Reference Manager at http://www.ooomacros.org/
This macro is for managing references to either bookmarks or set references. It enables you to:
* Find where in the current document you have references to a particular bookmark or set reference.
* Delete set references without losing the text (but you will lose any nested set references).
* Convert between bookmarks and set references and vice versa, including all references to the converted reference.
* Rename set references and bookmarks and update all references to them with the new name.
* Find references to bookmarks and set references that no longer exist (i.e. orphaned references).
* To reassign references to another set reference or bookmark.
