OpenOffice 3.0 released

OpenOffice, the open source alternative to MS Office and my writing tool of choice, has released version 3.0. You can get it here. A little review of this release can be found here.

Stylin’ Manuscripts

I was reading something Lyda Morehouse was blogging about at sfnovelists.com and, as she was making the point that manuscript formatting is important to writers seeking to become published, I thought I would revisit manuscript formatting.

I am currently working on:
- “Dispensing Justice” — A superhero novel.
  DJ (1st draft)
  42,700/67,500
- A new version of a my prologue to Tactics of Transience is in full fledged barf-mode (even if it is a re-write from a different characters perspective).
- A short story set during the Yondan Wars and featuring Chance. Finishing up polishing, out to beta readers.
- And the third draft of Tactics.
What I'm Doing...
- I'm pondering: Is it better to have characters that grow or readers that are changed? 2010-07-09
- Taking the opening pages of "Dispensing Justice" to AAAWG / writers group tonight. 2010-04-20
