If, like me, you are irritated by short, opaque URLs in Twitter (and elsewhere) and are a Firefox user, I highly recommend the following GreaseMonkey script: TinyURL Decoder.

The TinyURL Decoder script will transform TinyURL, and a large number of other URL shortening links, into their target links.  Which will allow you to better judge wether or not you want to follow them.

If you have Firefox and GreaseMonkey installed, just follow this link http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/40582 and install the script.  If you don’t have GreaseMonkey, you can get it here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748 , and if you don’t have Firefox, you really should.  Get it here http://www.firefox.com .
